Hello, and welcome to the "96 Hours To Eternity" website. I was inspired to write this screenplay after I
had watched the movie "Glory" with Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman. Towards the end of the movie, as the heroes rushed
the Confederate stronghold, a large number of them were cut down because there was only one way to get at the fort, and it
was a narrow pass.
As I watched, I imagined how that battle would've turned out had those Union soldiers been armed with M16s,
203 grenade launchers, a couple of 60 calibur machine guns and a 50 calibur machine gun. Strangely enough, the thought stayed
with me for several weeks before I began to put ideas that were in my head on paper. As I began writing 96 Hours, I had intended
to write it as a book. Then, I let my adopted brother, Darius Turner read what I had written at that point, and we wound up
talking about which star would be good to play what part. It was at that point that I decided to make it into a screenplay.
